- What does a cabin here usually cost?
- Jasper is the first mountain town on the way up from Atlanta, and you pay a little for that. Gated communities with their own amenities are a different bracket from a cabin on county road, and the HOA dues come with them. Tell me which you'd rather and I'll send what sold there lately.
- Do cabins here rent well?
- Being closest to Atlanta helps on short weekends. Some of the gated communities have their own rental rules on top of Pickens County's, so that's the first thing I read for any home you like.
- What should I know about mountain roads?
- Easier than further north, on the whole, but the ridges still climb. Drive the last mile yourself before you decide, and ask about winter access if you'll be up on cold weekends.
